The best Alizée translations have all found their homes at MF-International. Among those, I consider the best to be those made by The_Honorable, who unfortunately isn't seen poking around the forums any longer.

In short, doesn't it mean "We came, We saw, We Conquered." Or something like that?

Veni, Vidi, Vici. It indeed does mean "I came, I saw, I conquered."

It was originally coined by Julius Caesar after a major victory, and quoted by Napoleon Bonaparte after one of his victories. This song likely had something to do with both Alizée and Napoleon being Corsicans.

Well. Gaul (France) has nothing to do with Veni Vidi Vici.

Caesar said VVV after he killed Pharnaces II of Pontus.

Youpi, as I posted in the translations, it is about love between Cleopatra and Caesar.
It is Caesar talking about their start of love and their end of love.

I always saw it as her conquering the industry on her arrival. Her first album was huge so it's quite fitting.
