YouTube La Isla Bonita vs Hung Up
I very much enjoyed Alizée's recent performance of Madonna's Hung Up. This song is actually how I found out about her. I would have rather seen just Alizée out there dancing instead of all them other girls but times they are a changing. I thought to do a search on YouTube USA of these song titles. For La Isla Bonita there were 4 hits with Alizée on the first page. For Hung Up, I went through 6 pages and didn't see one hit for her. What exactly does this mean if anything?

I'm not sure I get why this needs a thread. It wouldn't surprise me to hear La Isla Bonita is more popular. In addition the video has been around much longer, and searching only Hung Up provides more videos than just Madonna. Hence, La Isla Bonita on the front page, and Hung Up not.
EDIT: I did the search for myself, why I'm not sure. Alizée's version of Hung Up has one hit on page four and two on page five.

I absolutely hated the Hung Up performance -- first Lili video I couldn't bear to watch all the way through -- but I wouldn't extrapolate my opinion to the masses and suggest it's the reason the vid doesn't often pop up on searches.
It probably has more to do with the Madonna-to-Lili video ratio, how new it is compared to Bonita, and the general popularity of the original song. No matter, though. I honestly believe I'd be doing Lili a disservice to show that video to newcomers anyway. At least in my neck of the woods -- I have fairly good intuition when it comes to knowing what people will and won't like around here, and I don't think that video would fly with anyone. But if you guys like it, that's fantastic. I'm all for things that make people happy, even if they don't quite work for me personally.

Sorry to hear that. I enjoyed the video a lot. As a "French challenged" person, the song being sung in English is a big help for me. I would have preferred fewer backup dancers, but overall I thought it was a lot of fun. It also looked like the audiance was getting into it, which I like to see.
