My point wasn't about the language, but about how he's confusing lust with love and wanting to learn a language due to that. I'm not saying he shouldn't, but the sudden want for the language shouldn't be due to a girl he just met and knows next to nothing about. There are much better reasons for wanting to learn a language.

To be honest, I'm not sure what to think about love. I sure as hell don't believe in the romantic magical version. On the other hand, chalking it up to simple survival instincts blown out of proportions by human imagination seems too cynical, even to me. It seems the more rational option, but even a misanthrope like me doesn't want to be robbed of all the mystique of the world. What's the line between lust and love? Between a crush and a romance? I guess everybody has to discover these questions for themselves and hope they got it right.

Hehe.....I grew up in the Bay Area and I still get pissed off by the hippies here! It's odd how they think the conservatives are close minded....the parents in particular are extremely irritating. They have a "holier-than-thou" attitude UP THE ASS.
