Just curious here, who has everyone seen live? And which show was your favorite? Any memorable experiences? Going to shows is always a great time. So far i've seen live:

- Weird Al Yankovic (twice)
- Kansas (free show)
- Tool (twice)
- Rush
- David Lee Roth
- Alice Cooper
- Type O Negative
- Porcupine Tree
- Hatebreed
- Rage Against The Machine
- 3 Inches Of Blood
- Smashing Pumpkins
- The Fray
- Spoon
- Styx
- M.I.A.

I currently have a ticket to see Buckethead in a couple months.

I've also seen bits and pieces of other artists at various festivals. Weird Al was probably my favorite, followed closely by Rush. Tool was nice but the noodling midway through each show was kinda boring.

Any other cool gigs?

-Alizée (1 time)
-Led Zeppelin (O2 Arena)
-Cream (2005 Reunion)
-Finntroll (1 time)
-Tool (1 time)
-Van Halen (2007 tour, 2 shows)
-G3 (Petrucci, Vai, Satriani)
-Steve Vai (3 times)
-Joe Satriani (1 time)
-Peter Frampton (1 time)
-Amon Amarth (1 time)
-The Misfits (1 time)
-Elton John (The Red Piano, 2 times)
-Children of Bodom (5 times)
-Iron Maiden (1 time)
-Finntroll (1 time)

-Eric Clapton (1 time)
-Korpiklaani (1 time)
-Heidevolk (1 time)
-Jérémy Châtelain (yes, I admit it!, 1 show!)
-Tenacious D (1 show)

My favorite has to be the recent ProgNation tours. Dream Theater with opening band Opeth, that is pure GENIUS! To start off with Åkerfeldt's brilliant death grunts switching to clean angelic vocals, and ending with an epic guitar/keyboard duel between John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater, speechless. If heaven doesn't have these guys, then I might have a few doubts about going. Then again Alizée's heading there, so yeah, one ticket to Angel-land please?

I've been a fan of Dream Theater and Opeth since I was 7.
You don't see many 7 year olds enter the world of metal...

Good luck with going to Opeth, one of the best bands out there in my opinion. If they play "Master's Apprentice", you're in for a treat. They do that song so well live, you can't imagine. Axenrot's not a bad drummer as well, still prefer Lopez, but new guy's good too.

Not a whole lot lately, the majority of ones I have been to are bands I no longer care for.

Lately, the biggest (and I use that term VERY loosely) concert I've been to was Murder by Death- can't have been 100 people in that bar for them. The majority of my shows are my friends' bands.

I think the term you meant to use loosely was "concert".

I have only been to one bands concerts. A band from my hometown. Sloppy Seconds is their name, been to about 5 of their concerts. The are a really great band and have some fun shows. If you are into punk music you can check them out. They have a music video on youtube ("Fifteen Minutes or It's Free") and some of their CD's on itunes. I actually went to one of their concerts about a week or 2 ago, for the release of their new CD Endless Bummer, a great album and a absolutely crazy show. I don't want to come off like I am trying to sell them to you so just check them out if you want. The show was sold out and the crowd was just going nuts, pretty intense, been a long time since they did a show. Cool with a band thats not mainstream because people in the crowd can actually get up up on stage with the band and jump on top of people their and crowd surf, all good fun. I seen some other bands at their shows, some good others bad but I didn't really know them. Other than that I haven't been to a show, would love to see many bands but most the bands I listen to the members are dead or broken up. Alizée is just one of the few modern groups or singers I listen to that I could see in concert if I had the money and time.

Silverstein (2)
My Chemical Romance
Billy Talent
Blindside
The Sounds (Lost count)
CKY
Avril Lavigne
Gogol Bordello
Chemical Vocation

Those are the first that jump to mind...
Silverstein were to me, the best.
First time I saw them i traveled to Denmark, to this small cosy venue, with no barriers between public and stage.
Sort of personal performance, with a little twist of danish drunk thugs moshing.
Someone decided to take a stagedive and ended up landing on my head, and cracking my neck, wich made it all a little more unpleasant, though.
Second performance was in my hometown, and it was magical, with a meet&greet afterwards.
Managed to get my hands on a drumstick wich I got signed, it was a great evening.

The craziest performance was without a doubt Billy Talent.
They were performing on a one-day-festival in Gothenburg, and people stood on the same spot between 16-22, to get good places for MCR who were finishing off the concert.

Waiting for Billy Talent who were the ones I wanted to see, was two hours crammed up against people, unable to move arms, or anything basically.
It was very hot, and people passed out and started hyperventilating, so it was a bit uncomfortable.
Though the show was great, so it payed off..

Check out Gogol Bordello, if you don't know of them... they are awesome. xD
